Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubuntu-live
This is a useability issue.
I was installing 6.10. It seems that this version uses a graphical installer from the livecd, instead of the text installer used previously.
Due to bug 84557, I was forced to install from 800x600.
The dialogs in the installer are all slightly too large for this screen size. In particular, you can see all of the information but the buttons are not reachable. You need to tab to the bottom and hope that you got the right one.
This could be fixed by:
1. Making the dialogs 30 pixels or so less tall. I don't think that this would affect the usability of the installer.
2. Allowing the windows to be moved off the top of the display (so overlapping with the menubar) in an 800x600 configuration.
3. Changing the default style in 800x600 to use a smaller font and smaller title bars.
