Thanks for your report, although in future it would be useful if it were more verbose and came with the appropriate log files. Like the bug you cite, this is a duplicate of bug 76976, and is fixed in Herd 3.

Hi,

Thanks for your prompt reply. It was my first bug report, so
appologies for being a bit terse, I am still finding my way around
ubuntu. I did attach some log files, although I sent a couple of
messages without attachements by mistake.

Best,
Alin

Hi Alin.

Don't worry. All of us have been newbies anytime ;)
Just keep learning, and report the bugs you find (but first please search if they have already been reported).

Regards
Emilio

Emilio,

Thanks for your kind words. I will definitely do a better search next
time. I feel even a bit ashamed as I am not a total newbie in CS (did
quite a bit of image/signal processing), but when it comes to systems
I never quite got into that. I am hoping however that at some point I
would even lend a hand. I think the ubuntu project is a great thing!
Keep up the good work and thanks.

Best,
Alin

P.S.: Downloaded herd 3 and will try again :)
