Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

greetings,
since ? Edgy ? both on my iBooks -G3 & -G4 and Dual-G5 installer crashes; here the report for Desktop/installer-CD iso as of 07-01-14 (Ubuntu-time-stamp = 08:18, 706MB ) :

as copy/paste isn't possible here when typed not sure if with errors:

Var/log/syslog doesn't exist, but directory before. (neither /var/log/partman) .

Existing:
boot.log, last.log, maillog, messages, and others.
