Herd2 installer crashes, step 6 (partman) - bug report as instructed

Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Installing from Herd2 CD - crash at step 6, partitioning. This machine has three partitions (see attached fstab and df), partman crashed while detecting disk structure (never got as far as displaying the three radio button choice).

I can confirm the same issue on an Intel Mac Mini, the installer worked fine on the daily releases up until Jan 6th, all subsequent releases have this error.

This looks like duplicate of bug 78961, however it is also reported on Intel Mac Mini, I would leave it for Colin to decide.

Darren Albers: is the traceback on Mac the same (.py filenames and line numbers)? Do you have any other operating systems installed on Mac (Windows or Mac OS X)?
If the traceback is different, I would suggest that you open new bug for it.

Yes, it's the same bug. There is no need to open further bugs if the end of the traceback is "no active autopartitioning choice" or "choice = unicode(self.autopartition_buttongroup_texts[id])".
