Binary package hint: ubiquity
This is from the second attempt to install Xubuntu
We're sorry; the installer crashed. Please file a new bug report at https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+filebug (do not attach your details to any existing bug) and a developer will attend to the problem as soon as possible. To help the developers understand what went wrong, include the following detail in your bug report, and attach the files /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman:

My machine is an Acer Aspire 5100-3959 (Turion64 MK 2GHz). The following disk layout was used:
On first attempt, the disk layout is listed below (around 4.5GB for Linux).
/boot 64MB
/var 1GB
/usr 1GB
/home 500MB
/ 1GB
swap 500MB (I'm not sure)
On the second attemp, the partitioning tool sent a warning telling that the / filesystem should be 2GB or greater, so the disk layout is listed below:
/boot 128MB
/var 1GB
/usr 500MB
/home 200MB
/ 2GB
swap 320MB (I'm not sure) |
