Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

I have tried to make a clean installation of Natty in a RAID 5 system. Everything in the installation seem to go well. However after the restart, the system is unbootable and drops the user to the initramfs prompt. From there one can see that dmraid and dmraid-activate are not inside the /bin direrctory of the initramfs.

I have managed to add dmraid, by booting the live cd, then chrooting to target partition that natty was installed and do an "apt-get install dmraid". After that the system booted.

However this method above is not one that anyone can follow.
