Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
I created a live session USB key from the Kubuntu desktop i386 20110329.1 image, natty-desktop-
After the installation I booted the new Natty system. I tried to run "sudo apt-get update" at the command line, and got errors:
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/
E: Unable to lock directory /var/lib/apt/lists/
/var/lib/

It's not unusual for another process to be using apt, maybe kpackagekit or apt's daily update. Did you look for processes that were using apt? Is the lock permanantly there or has it gone away now?
