I get this on i386 and amd64 desktop ISOs. Installing from USB and CD. alternate CDs are not affected.

However bambee has reported two successful amd64 desktop installs.

I also installed on i386 but using a virtual machine (virtualbox with "use full disk"). It works just fine here.
Can I provide additionnal informations ?

I did an i386 install (alpha-3 candidates) on my Dell Mini 10 from usb-creator generated USB stick, with English, no network, and "use entire disk". Worked fine, and no "Media" in syslog.

Apparently python-apt has this "Media change" string, in AcquireProgress.media_change().

ln -s /cdrom /media/cdrom before running ubiquity fixes this, as discussed on IRC

Martin Pitt (pitti) wrote :

Jonathan confirms that this is also due to the changed /cdrom -> /media/cdrom mount point, duplicating.
