Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Ubiquity crashes when a broadcom 4313 card is in the system. Removing the card prevents the crash.

It seems that it's attempting to (erroneously) load nonexistant firmware for this device. You can see in the syslog that the check-firmware call fails.

I suppose, it's because of missing symlinks for brcm80211 driver.
This is files which should be found in the firmware directory, however, two symlinks ( bcm43xx-0.fw and bcm43xx_hdr-0-610-809-0.fw ) is missing on Natty Alpha2 i386 and Natty Alpha3 i386, so I have had to create it manually and do modprobe -r / modprobe on brcm80211 to make Network Manager see the Wi-Fi chip.
$ ls -l /lib/firmware/brcm/
total 368

So, you have to just add this symlinks to the package of firmware to make BCM4313 work by default on Natty:
bcm43xx-0.fw
bcm43xx_hdr-0.fw
