Crash when Formating Drives - PPC Kubuntu Edgy

Run the Kubuntu Edgy Installer on:
Mac Cube
1Gb RAM
32Mb VRAM Card
Hard Drive partitions already set-up with:
OSX
Boot
Linux /
Linux swap

When going to manually edit, go to next and the installer shows your previous linux partitions, in this case / & swap with both checked to be formatted. Then click on next and the following is provided:

I attempted to install this about 3 - 4 times and then gave up.

I ended up formating the entire drive and installing OSX instead of Linux so
I no longer have the files. I was going to try it again in about 3 weeks
from now when I have some time. If the problem happens again I will be more
then happy to post the log files.
