Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Using Edgy Desktop CD (Release downloaded this afternoon), I had an error on repartioning my hard drive, and aborted the instllation which brough me back the Kubuntu login screen. I assum the usersname and password is ubuntu at that point?

Simply restarted computer and saved it for another day

Tried again today on two computers and was able to replicate bug. Manually partitioning drive, abort installation and the screen goes black, returns w/ login prompt

Hello. Thanks for filing a bug. Could you please attach /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman to this bug? That would help us better identify the cause of the problem. Thanks!

This page contains detailed information on uploading log files: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingUbiquity/AttachingLogs (you will have to repeat the install attempt with the same Live CD to get them)
