Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
In the Maverick Netbook remix, the "Who are you page?" doesn't allow usernames to be capitalized. That's fine, but it fails silently: the user can't progress (the Forward button is greyed out), and it's not even remotely clear what's wrong (the username has a green checkmark next to it, indicating that all is well).
Expected behavior:
Either the page should present an error message next to the text field, or it should allow capitalized user names if they don't produce breakage.
Actual behavior:
The installer doesn't indicate what's wrong, but it also doesn't let me click 'Forward' and get on with my life. In short, it's a really bloody papercut.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Type in a capitalized username during install.
2. Try to progress to the next page.
Thanks for your report. This was also filed as bug 555896, and is already fixed in Natty.
