Installing Maverick on a brand new Medion Akoya P4370 D, when Ubuntu seems to start the X-Server the screen turns off.
Perhaps Ubuntu tries to set a wrong screen resolution?

One more thing, after sudo killall ubiquity I heard the Ubuntu shutdown notification sound, and gdm was restarted. Afterwards I got to the gnome Desktop and could restart the installer without any further interaction.
