Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

I am running the Kubuntu Maverik 64bit live cd and when I run the installer I get the following crash report (in the screen right after choosing language - see print screen)
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/kde_ui.py", line 949, in on_next_clicked
    self.dbfilter.ok_handler()
  File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/plugins/ubi-prepare.py", line 343, in ok_handler
    i.shutdown()
  File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/dbus/proxies.py", line 68, in __call__
    return self._proxy_method(*args, **keywords)
  File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/dbus/proxies.py", line 140, in __call__
    **keywords)
  File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/dbus/connection.py", line 620, in call_blocking
    message, timeout)
DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

One of the logs suggested by the crash handler application - /var/log/partman is missing in action, it simply does not exist in the live system.

Output of uname -a , couldn't find lsb_release:
Linux ubuntu 2.6.35-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP Sun Sep 19 20:32:27 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Oh, and the bug is reproducible and consistent - every time I try to run the installer I get the same crash report.

Thanks!
