Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

In Maverick, both firmware-b43-installer and b43-fwcutter are needed in order to use the Broadcom wireless cards. Since the Maverick LiveCD only contains b43-fwcutter, it's not possible to get wireless working on these cards after installing Maverick unless you establish a wired internet connection first and download firmware-b43-installer.

This is because firmware-b43-installer is in multiverse, and the live CD only contains packages from main. Please use the "third-party software" checkbox in the installer, which will automatically install the Broadcom STA driver.

I did use the "third-party software" checkbox in the installer, and it didn't automatically install the Broadcom STA driver.
