Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

/usr/share/ubiquity/plugininstall.py looks for /proc/swap and fails if a user uses a custom kernel that has no swapping enabled (i.e. on some custom arm bioards people use such a setup, which is admittedly a corner case but can happen)

the function should properly return None if /proc/swap does not exist.

This bug was fixed in the package ubiquity - 2.5.25

ubiquity (2.5.25) natty; urgency=low

  [ Mario Limonciello ]
  * Install oem-config-debconf properly. (LP: #732576)
  * Don't trigger oem-config-debconf on dbus.

  [ Kees Cook ]
  * scripts/plugininstall.py: do not explode if /proc/swaps is missing,
    thanks to Gilles Grandou (LP: #651886).
