Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
If the following can really be reproduced, it would be a pretty serious bug. I did the following in ubiquity:
1) chose manual resize of partitions
2) then it gave me the manual partitioner
3) I decided to use the standard "side by side", so I hit the "Back" button
4) then after going back, I chose "side by side"
5) then it suggested to partition the HD approx. 120 - 120 GB
6) I hit "Forward"
But it actually used up the whole disk space, which erased my old partition. Is it possible that ubiquity gets confused when I go back and forth between manual and automatic partitioning?

The 'use entire partition' option is being preseeded to partman as button for it is being set insensitive, which is currently how the GTK portion of the plugin checks to see if it's going to use the entire partition or resize it.
