Bug Description
My existing Pc config -
Amd 2600+, 1Gb Ram, 1 harddisk 120Gb, 1 hard disk 80 Gb,
hard disk1
/dev/hda1 - 7.8Gb - Fat32 - existing Windows boot partition
/dev/hda2 - 31.2 Gb - Fat32
/dev/hda3 - 31.2 Gb - Fat32
hard disk2
/dev/hdc1 - 31.2 Gb - Fat32
/dev/hdc2 - 31.2 Gb - Fat32
I booted from the live cd of Ubu.ntu 6.06 LTS.
Selected manual partition edit option.
Deleted existing partitions on hard disk2.
Added new partitions as below.
Hard disk2 new Partitions
01 - linux-swap - 1024 Mb
02 - /boot - 128 Mb
03 - / - 4086 Mb
04 - new partition - Balance space, around 70Gb plus.
After completing the formating , when the list of partitions is displayed, Unlike the other partition info, The ' / ' partition didnot display the amount of disk space & the purpose of the partition. eg ( /, /boot, /usr, /var, /home etc )
When I attempted to select the ' / 'option from the drop down list. The installation crashed and displayed the following error.
Traceback.
File"/usr/
File"/usr/
Key error:'hdc4'
The installation crashed and I was back at the Ubuntu live Cd destop screen.
