edgy installation fails on msi-7101 with i865 chipset and IDE drive

Bug Description

Installation runs fine until 81%; Then it breaks with the following message:

I chose to use the remaining disk space (there was a /dev/sda5 swap partition). The machine has 512mb ram. I'm attaching the syslogs.

This is also bug 55019, which I've fixed; but the edgy live filesystems haven't built for a while due to other problems. I hope those will be sorted out soon.
