Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

I'm trying to switch to Ubuntu from Fedora (looking for lighterweight and less cludge), however, every time I run the installer, it crashes on me. Usually, it just freezes, but I've finally gotten an error message. The traceback is below, and I've tried several times, with automatic partitioning and manual, to no avail.

Traceback (most recent call last):

Hi and thanks for reporting this issue. Can you please attach /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman as well?

Thanks for your report. I'm afraid that one of your partitions (probably /boot) seems to be too small to complete an Ubuntu desktop installation successfully. Bug 48355 notes that the partitioner should have warned you about this.
