ubuntu installation crashes on start

I downloaded the amd64 edition today and booted from it to install it.
After the KDE Desktop loaded correctly i clicked on the "Install" Icon and the next thing i saw was this error dialog:

Could you please attach /var/log/installer/syslog, /var/log/syslog, and /var/log/partman to this bug, using the "Include Attachment" link on the bug's web page? Thanks in advance.

I believe you accidentally tried to launch more than one instance of the installer at once (perhaps by excessive double-clicking on its icon). The resulting messy explosion is bug 46569, which I recently fixed in Edgy.
