Bug Description

Binary package hint: base-installer

I just tried to install todays daily build from my flash drive. I used the tool to make a bootable flashdrive. I then booted off of it and choose to install Ubuntu. It was going fine until I finished choosing my partitions. I have 4 partitions NTFS, EXT4, Linux Swap, and EXT4. As soon I tried to start formating the second EXT4 partition, the installer went to the attached screenshot.

I am assigning this to the package ubiquity, which is the installer for the live cd.

Verified that this is reproducible on my machine. I'm not sure if it is related to the fact that I did custom partitions, because this time I was filling out the next screen (Username/password) when it crashed. I am running a HP HDX 16, core 2 duo, 4 gig ram, NVidia 9600M GT. Also, the top line of pixels went "fuzzy" for a few seconds before the crash. I am using the 64 bit, live CD from 2/15/10.

Let me know if you need more details.

I just tried a ubiquity install with todays daily from a flash drive and it completed successfully. I don't still have the iso from 02/15 around, so can't reproduce it anymore. Good news is this appears to have fixed itself, bad news is there is now a problem with grub-install. I'll make a bug report for that. Please feel free to close this unless there is anything else I can do to help.
