Bug Description

Manual partitioning of xubuntu live CD on pentium celeron 350MHz, 64 MB RAM. Manual partitioning with /boot on a 8MB ext2 partition (hda1-primary), win98 vfat (hda2), win98 data vfat (hda3), extended partitions (hda4)- 6GB / (hda5) 15GB /home ext3 (hda7), 180MB swap (hda6).

Actually I retried the install without the /boot set to hda1 ext2, and it did work. Perhaps we need to just add code or documentation to prohibit the conflicting part of this manual setup from being performed.
