2006-06-08 13:48:13 Carl-Erik Kopseng description I get to the screen where I can choose between letting the installer take care of the formatting or manually edit it myself. Bottom left corner says "Step 5 of 6". I tick off the option for manual editing, and press "Forward". A "greyed out" (disabled) gparted (?) interface shows up in the windows, and a loading bar briefly shows itself, saying "Scanning all devices", and then... nothing. A pretty much blank window, where the only text is in the bottom left corner stating something about reserving at least 2gigs of space for the root partition. Pressing <enter> on the "Forward" button crashes the installer. This is a similar, but not identical to bug #47002. He gets a disabled gparted interface and a spinning progress bar, whereas I end up with a blank screen. But again, it might be that when he means "freezes" he actually means this blank screen. But the installer is still responsive, so I don't think it qualifies for a "freeze" condition. Since there is no way of attaching the output, I will just post it as comments below. I could not find an attach option at the time...
