Thanks for your report. To assist in debugging this problem, could you please attach your /var/log/installer/syslog, /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman log files. You can do this by clicking on the bug url and selecting "Add Attachment" on the left.

Thanks for your report. This is quite an old bug (bug 43125) from Flight CD 7 or thereabouts, that's been fixed in the final Dapper release; please try the final release.

Sorry, but this bug is not yet fixed in the final release of Dapper, at least for the Kubuntu version. The installer crashed again after the assignment of a disk partition - the same place where it had crashed in the beta version.

BobBlum, please file a new bug and use the "Add Attachment" link on the web page after filing the bug to attach /var/log/installer/syslog, /var/log/syslog, and /var/log/partman. It is not always easy to tell Ubiquity bugs apart just from the backtrace if you aren't used to the code, but I can guarantee you that that code has changed quite significantly and in particular the code in the traceback shown in this bug no longer reads as above and therefore you cannot possibly be getting the same traceback with Dapper final.

Uhhh... why am I getting these questions, and how can I unsubscribe?
All I did was file a bug report 2 weeks ago, about the installer in the
beta, but I'm really not interested in getting every email on every bug
report on every possible installer bug...
