Bug Description

I have two hard drive installed, and I am trying to install it on the secondary drive. while the installer has no options to choose upon boot loader location, I think this might be the problem.

The installer asked you to attach /var/log/installer/syslog and
/var/log/partman. Could you please do so using the "Add Attachment"
link on the bug page?

Thanks.

Really Sorry, I did see the message. But I did not notice the add
attachment link. Now I have already installed by using Alternate CD.
Really sorry for this.

Thank you all for the great work ever!!!

This particular traceback can have multiple causes, and I'm afraid that without the log files I have no means of determining what the real problem might be. Let's hope that somebody else files (or has already filed) this bug with the necessary log files.

(Attempting to use an XFS root filesystem without a non-XFS /boot filesystem is a common cause for this problem.)

Yes. I just realize this could be the problem.

I've installed Kubuntu w/ alternate CD yesterday. I did twice. At the
first time I chose XFS as root system. It automatically chose LILO as boot
loader(it said XFS is not good for grub), can not automatically find Windows
system on the first drive, and give me the choice only on the second drive.
Although I manually installed LILO on /dev/hda, it can not boot linux after
installtion.

So the second time I choose ReiserFS for root, then "grub" came out,
everything is OK.

The Desktop CD installer does not support ReiserFS, it is a little pity...

I did not notice the add attachment link on bug report page since this is
the first time I file a bug. I am so sorry.
