Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

While the GTK/Ubuntu version of Ubiquity UI add a default value for computer name in the form ${username}-[laptop|computer] , it looks like the Kubuntu installer leaves that field empty .

This is not a big bug, but many novice/normal users don't care about the usage of that name and it is best to have it filled with a default value.

Cheers

I'm actually going to change this to Fix Released, since according to bug 743070 a default hostname is being set by the Ubiquity KDE frontend now, just not necessarily a very pretty one.
