I got the exact same problem. Happened twice in a row. I am installing a fresh copy on a 160GB SATA disk. It appears to happen right after or during download of language packs.

I can get further in the installation by skipping the language pack (I had a split second to hit a "Skip" button at that stage), but then I get the same traceback at 99% completed.

This is in fact bug 46743, not bug 46764; please let me deal with marking ubiquity bugs as duplicates, as it is not always obvious. (In this particular case it requires careful reading of the syslog, not just the traceback.)

Anyway, it's fixed in current daily builds. As a workaround, don't choose to install NTP support during the installation.
