I'm seeing this bug also, in the release version! Also with version 2.0.8 of ubiquity (apt-get update && apt-get install ubiquity in hopes of fixing ... no luck though)

the installation crashed when i clicked "Skip" in apt configuration.

Thanks for your reports. This is bug 462005, and is fixed in Lucid.
