Using the current karmic rc image in kvm and doing an installion using the entire disk on a disk image the installation failed on a swapon error

The kvm instance has been started using "kvm -cdrom karmic- desktop- i386.iso -hda karmic.img --boot d" where karmic.img was a karmic installation which seemed to have issues (it stopped booting after some recent upgrade) so maybe the image has been corrupted somewhat
On the livecd system I started ubiquity after playing with the desktop a bit, selected the default choices until the partitionner screen where I picked to use the full disk for the installation since I wanted to replace the previous broken installation
