Bug Description
- Booting from FLIGHT7
- Connecting to internet via PPPOECONF
- starting installer, going through to step 6, wherein
- I format a logical partition that has been destroyed earlier by WinXP (?) and
- choose another logical partition on same extended drive for installation
- in Step 7: Chose to use existing SWAP and mountpoint "/" for installation on "hdd5"
- installer starts (after confirming data) to format hdd3 with ext3
- stops after reaching 15% and crashes with following message appearing roughly 20secs later:
ceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/
return callback(source, debconf_condition)
File "/usr/lib/
if not self.process_
File "/usr/lib/
return self.dbfilter.
File "/usr/lib/

File "/usr/lib/
('ubiquity/
File "/usr/lib/
dialog = gtk.Dialog(title, transient, gtk.DIALOG_MODAL, tuple(buttons))
RuntimeError: first member of each text/response id pair must be a string
- installer closes and leaves disappouinted user - once again no dapper for me... ;(
Thanks for your report. This is also bug 43012, and has been fixed in current daily builds (http:// cdimage. ubuntu. com/daily- live/current/); please test if you can.
