Ubiquity crashes after "Manually edit partition table"

Bug Description

I have an internal hard drive and also an external hard drive plugged.
Ubiquity correctly detects my disks (the internal and the external). If I select "Manually edit partition table", Ubiquity crashes and I have the following error :

TypeError: decoding Unicode is not supported

Note: this crash does not happen if my external hard drive is unplugged...

Thanks for your report. This is also bug 43125, and is fixed in current daily builds (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily-live/current/).
