Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

After installing an OEM UNR and restarting, going though the first steps and finishing off the subsequent install, the user gets dumped to the a log in console for a few seconds before being presented with a GDM log in screen.

This isn't an installer bug, although I'm afraid I don't know where it belongs. Perhaps gdm, perhaps usplash, perhaps something else?

Do upgrade to beta and then retest, though - we've fixed several things in this area recently.

Oh, hang on, I misunderstood, so you mean in between oem-config running and the gdm screen. OK, in that case it might be a bug in ubiquity's oem-config code ...

Yes, After oem-config the login console is visible for a couple of seconds before GDM starts. Should of worded it a little better, sorry.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once:
apport-collect 438983

and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
