Binary package hint: ubiquity

When installing using Karmic Alpha 5 live CD on a partition (/dev/sda4), ubiquity doesn't detect user accounts on a Jaunty install (/dev/sda2) and thus doesn't offer any accounts at the migration stage.

Karmic reached end of life a number of years ago, are you still seeing this problem on 12.04+?
