Binary package hint: ubiquity
I think the title speaks by itself. The crash happens few seconds after the install starts.
Notice I'm using VGA drivers (because of another bug), and this particular bug doesn't happen if I don't choose the safe graphics mode.

- this bug always came in conjuction with bug https:/
- an install with the alternate CD went on perfectly
