Bug Description

I'm currently testing the Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04 Beta release.
The problem I had was duing the installation procedure when one has to select his keyboard. A default option is shown but that default option is wrong. I tested this on multiple computers and I always get the "USA International (with dead keys)" keyboard assigned. Altough I selected my country Belgium so why does it not select the default keyboard Belgium?

I have identified this as a bug in "ubiquity" (the Ubuntu graphical installer) and marked it as so.

I'm not having the latest version installed so I cannot test this (having problems with my sound card in the latest version)

dirken,

If you can or when you have the time, please try with the 10.04 beta (http://releases.ubuntu.com/lucid/). You don't have to go through the entire install, just to the keyboard setup page to verify that the bug is fixed.

Thanks!

Evan,

I just did the test with the live cd. The problem seemed to be solved right now.
However there's something I want to mention (don't know if nessecary to create a seperate bug report for it):
1) My default keyboard layout is to 'België' = azerty keyboard, however when typing in the test-textbox on the bottom it's still querty. When I press next and immediatly go back the keyboard layout is set to azerty. So no big deal however when you try you could be mistaken that the layout is not correct.
2) As mentioned in point 1 the keyboard layout is set to 'België', however on screen there is a special character problem. It doesn't show 'België' but instead it shows 'Belgi?'.
