Bug Description

I can reproduce this bug, the installer always quit while it finished scanning mirror and start detecting hardware.

I think this might be the same underlying cause as bug 349937. Could you try today's daily build (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/) and see if it behaves better for you?
