Bug Description

Binary package hint: oem-config

OEM config installer failed to work after OEM install and user has entered their details. Bug found during ISO testing.

ISO Image: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20090116.1/jaunty-desktop-amd64.iso

Installed OEM desktop as per instructions https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/Cases/OEMInstall, installed gobby and tuxpaint and clicked on the oem-config-prepare icon on the desktop.

Then rebooted.

Then ran through and completed the new user setup procedure - then waited a long time and nothing happened. Switched to console #1 and saw the attached console messages.

Hardware: Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop

The traceback just indicates that X failed to start. I need to investigate to figure out whether this is a problem with X or a problem with oem-config-dm (it could be either).
