Thank you for following up on my bug report. At the moment I don't have access to the machine I used previously. So I created a similar test setup on a different machine and did it again, but with an isolated disk and only fictitious identities -- and it crashed in the same way as the earlier attempt. So here is the contents of the live session's file /var/crash/_usr_lib_ubiquity_bin_ubiquity.0.crash after I said "ubiquity --pdb" in a Terminal window in the live session, but unedited this time. As you can see it said InstallStepError: ClockSetup failed with code 30 again. Let me know if you need anything more.
