Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
Precursor to this: grub-install failed. I may have forgotten to set /dev/sda1 to mount at /boot (grub-install error message was something like "Error: grub-install (hd0) failed. Fatal error").
Other background info: I used a backdoor method of installing Ubuntu Desktop on LVM partitions. Everything installed on these partitions up to the grub-install part.
'df' showed no /target/boot partition (and the /target/root partition was an LVM volume, so that was never going to work). So somehow the ext2/3 partition for /boot didn't get mounted. My oversight? Not sure.
