Binary package hint: ubiquity
This is actually on Intrepid. I just did an installation of Ubuntu 8.10 using the desktop/Live CD.
I made 4 partitions :-
a. /boot :- 150 MB
b. / :- 1 GB
c. /home :- 40 GB
d. swap :- 1024 MB (Double of 512 MB physical RAM)
Now before installing it gave this is too small. It should be 2464153.6 bytes atleast.
Now it took me quite some time to figure out ubiquity meant 2.35 GB atleast
(1024*1024 = 1048576)
Then do 2464153/1048576 = 2.349
Now for anybody who doesn't know it makes it harder.
It should have given 2.34 GB space is needed .

I could have sworn this was already filed, but can only find bug 219568 which unfortunately contains multiple bug reports in it. Marking as confirmed. |
