Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

When installing Ubuntu 8.10 via the livecd, towards the end of the "Copying Files" stage, the installer terminated and I was notified that "Ubiquity" had crashed. When I tried to reboot (without the liveCD),I had a grub error ("error 15") and could not boot into any of the systems (Win Vista or newly-installed Linux) on my hard drive.
