Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
I just tried to install Ubuntu 8.10 pre inside Windows Virtual PC.
The mouse didn't work, so I was forced to use only my keyboard.
The timezone chooser really sucks in this case, because I have to press down several hundred times to iterate thru a nested single list.
Obvious suggestions:
- easy: break it into two lists: region/continent then city
- easy: implement typeahead find so I can press A for Australia or S for Sydney
- harder: allow user to type part of their city name and present a dropdown with cities starting with that string (e.g. let me start typing "Sydney" or "Melbourne")
