installer crashed on gOs live cd

Binary package hint: ubiquity
installer crashed i'm trying to install from gOs 3 livecd, 500 Gb hd, started using safemode graphics
Clicked on the installer icon on desktop, got to the partition settings.
Used the manual settings, didn't want to resize main partition, i chose a smaller partition (the dell recovery one)
formated ext3,goes thru most of the install fails on grub installer,
the error msg from the window.

Checked var/log/syslog is empty.

I'm sorry, I'm simply unable to help you - I don't know what changes gOS have made to ubiquity, especially not without a syslog. I can only deal with Ubuntu installations. I'm afraid you'll have to ask the gOS people for help here.
