partitioner in 8.10 beta indicates using entire drive when using "free space"

Bug Description

My drive has an

* XP partition,
* an ntfs backup partition
* and around 60 gigs as a test bed space available for test installations of Ubuntu.

I downloaded the 8.10 beta iso and started the install.

The partitioner indicator at the top showed the partitions correctly - 3 sections, as I mention above

When deciding how to partition the drive I chose "use free space". The 2nd partitioner indicator then showed the entire drive in the colour one would assume is being used for Ubuntu - blue. The indicator makes me think the entire drive is going to be wiped - especially as this indication is the same as for "use entire disk"

This should be changed so that only the free space used is blue, and the rest remains green as per the 1st partitioner indicator.

Thanks

8.10 has reached end of life. Have you had this issue with 12.04 or later?

Hello

I cannot remember seeing this in later versions - please close this.

Thanks
