Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
RELEASE: Intrepid
CD/DVD VARIANT: Ubuntu 32 bit desktop cd
ISO BUILD: 20080903
When creating a new partition under manual partitioning, trying to get the partitioner to fill up the remaining available space did not succeed. On a blank 10GB vmware disk partition, the steps were:
1) Create a new ~6000MB ext3 partition for /
2) Create a new ~1000MB swap partition
3) Create a new ext3 partition for /home using remaining space (3734MB reported by partitioner);
- entering either 3734MB or some greater number resulted in a partition of size 3635MB being created, with 98MB left unused (attempts to create a partition in this remaining space resulted in an 8MB partition with 90MB free).

I'm seeing this as well, on the alpha 5 of intrepid.
Very odd.
