I just installed Hardy from the live cd. The installation apparently succeeded without any problems. However, the newly installed system didn't boot and apparently did not install any bootloader (when booting from HD I only got an empty screen). When I investigated from the life cd, the installed system also had no directory /boot/grub nor a file /etc/lilo.conf. |
On my Dell Latitude D810, the installation from the Hardy live cd reproducibly crashes. I have attached the syslog of the live system.
