Ubuntu 22.04 desktop ad join dialog doesn't support valid characters in username

Bug Description

It's perfectly acceptable for AD usernames to include a '.' character, but the installer disallows this.

This forces the person running the installer to join later from the command line, which accepts names with periods in them just fine.
