Bug Description

Using the latest Ubuntu MATE 22.04.1 ISO released a couple of days ago...

See photo.jpg attached...

At the screen 'Configure Active Directory' I enter in a valid 'Domain Administrator' username... and it thinks it must start with a lower-case letter and doesn't like the $ dollar sign at the beginning.

Don't ask me why (as I didn't set it up) but at the company where I work... we have AD accounts specifically for administrator functions and these are prefixed with a dollar sign. It does not appear to be (in anyway) a contravention the rules for naming AD users... so the validation check on ubiquity must be wrong.

I have this same issue with our AD accounts, which contain a '.' within them.

Any progress on this? Our company uses admin accounts prefixed with numbers (0 for desktop admin, 1 for server admin, etc). This is still active in the newest releases.
