It's possible you had a bad write to your installation media or for some other reason its contents could not be read correctly. If you're still having problems you should try re-writing the image to your media (and may be re-download it too).
By the way, you're installing from the original 20.04 release ISO which will have a lot of updates to download and install after the installation process is complete. The latest ISO (20.04.4) can be found at https:/ /ubuntu. com/#download. It was released very recently so will have very few updates to install after installation.
